Welcome Back Message from the Principal

Welcome to a new year at St. Mary School!

Our back to school open house will be this Sunday, August 17. The school buildings will be open at 4:30pm to give you the opportunity to tour the classrooms and talk with your child’s teacher. We will gather in the gym in our main building at 5:30pm to introduce the staff and join in prayer to bless our school year. Each family will have a back to school packet with important information that can be picked up after these announcements. Your family is encouraged to pack a picnic dinner for the evening and ice cream will be offered courtesy of St. Mary parish. A uniform exchange will be held during the open house. In addition, a fingerprinting service will be available for those who wish to volunteer in our Catholic schools. Additional information about fingerprinting requirements can be found on our school website.

Tuesday, August 19 will be the first day of school for students in Kindergarten through grade 8. Please note that this will be a 1:00 early dismissal day with limited or no bus service available from local school districts.

Please contact the bus garage of your local district if you wish to arrange bus transportation for your child this school year.

Students may arrive to school between 7:30am and 7:50am. Please note that middle school homerooms will begin at 7:45am this year. Students arriving to school should report to the gym in our main building where they will be seated by grade level and supervised by staff. Additional details about our bell schedule and arrival and dismissal procedures will be available in your family’s back to school packet.

Our Home & School Association will be hosting juice & donuts outside of the main building during student arrival on the first day of school. Parents are encouraged to stop by & enjoy refreshments & a few moments of fellowship.

Five-day Preschool Clover and Pre-K Shamrock classes will begin on Monday, August 25 and three-day Preschool Clovers will begin on Tuesday, August 26.

Once again, welcome to a new school year & see you on Sunday!
