NEW NEWS:

515 ON ICE!  Please consider sponsoring our St. Mary School staff members who will be doing the Ice Bucket Challenge at the Fisher football game this Friday night (September 5)!  All donations will go directly to Ben Thimmes, a former Fisher Catholic High School student and teacher who is battling ALS.  Sponsors are needed for:

Please log onto your Kroger Plus account and print off the Account Summary page, make sure your name is on it and send it to school to the attention of SCRIP. Thank you for your continued support!” Not registered?? Please consider registering your Kroger Plus Card.  Go to Kroger’s website and click on Community!  Log in, and click on “my account”  If you scroll all the way down you will find ‘rewards”   Simply enter our number “83479” and that’s it!  You and St. Mary can earn money. Thanks!!

Practice and games started???  Check out MARKET DAY!  Fast and ready, healthy quick meals and snacks for your family.   PICK UP is next Saturday, September 13, pick up a form outside the office to order by Tuesday, September 12.  Also check online at www.marketday.com to set up an account to order from home!  On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Tuesday before pick up date each month.  If you would like to volunteer to help with the next Market Day delivery, please contact Kendra Gundelfinger at 740-654-6625 or 740-974-7449. Helpers arrive at 8:00 a.m., pick up will run from 8:30-9:30 starting in September.

 

IMG_0498coffeeCOFFEE AND MUSIC!  Calling all coffee drinkers….we need your help!  Drink up your coffee and send in your empty plastic coffee containers to Mrs. Albert for the music room.  Plans are in the works for a bucket drumming unit for the 5th grade.  Maxwell House and Folgers large plastic containers (please leave the lids on) are the perfect size.  Thanks for your help!

 

Picture dayWatch for picture forms coming home with your child. Pictures will be on Friday, September 12th! Students may either wear uniforms or follow the casual day dress code policy found in the handbook. Students should dress nicely!

 

 

ST. MARY NEWS:

ATHLETIC DRESS UP DAYS!  Athletes in grades 7 and 8 who are on St. Mary School Junior High sponsored teams may choose to DRESS UP on selected days of their team’s home events. Athletes who choose not to dress up must wear their regular school uniform.  Click here to see acceptable clothing descriptions and allowable dates for each fall sport team.

Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015  Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.

FUNDRAISING NEWS:

EARN A CASUAL DAY FOR YOUR CHILD!  How???  Buy $200 in SCRIP in one month.  Its that easy!  You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount.  These are the designated casual days for this school year: September 19, October 17, November 14, December 12, January 16, February 20, March 20 (subject to change due to Living Stations of the Cross), April 17 and May 15.  SCRIP UPDATES FOR 2014-2015: We will be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (located beside the Spirit store case, across from the gymnasium door).  Click here for an order form, and you can send your order in ahead of time with your child, or stop in Mondays 8-10 and Friday after school 2:15 to 3. COMMUNITY NEWS:

Fisher Fall 5K – September 13. Run or walk for a great cause – our high school! This is a Jr. Service Project by a Fisher Catholic student. Proceeds to benefit the Fisher Catholic Athletic Association and Fisher Foundation.

Save the Dates: Fisher Fall Festival is coming! September 19 and 20 – games, food, music, watch for more news in the coming weeks!

 

LAST SATURDAY CINEMA downtown at the bandstand!  The LEGO Movie and E.T.  The show starts about 8:00 and it is FREE!  Bring your blankets, chairs and snacks.
