St. Mary School has just received the Governor’s Award for Excellence in STEM Education once again! Our 7th and 8th grade Science teacher, Mrs. Anita Yaple, has also been recognized with the Governor’s Award for the fourth time! Congratulations Mrs. Yaple!
Practice and games started??? Check out MARKET DAY! Fast and ready, healthy quick meals and snacks for your family. PICK UP is this Saturday, September 13. Want to order for next month? Pick up a form outside the office and order by Tuesday, October 7, for delivery on October 11. Also check online at www.marketday.com to set up an account to order from home! On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Tuesday before pick up date each month. If you would like to volunteer to help with the next Market Day delivery, please contact Kendra Gundelfinger at 740-654-6625 or 740-974-7449. Helpers arrive at 8:00 a.m., pick up will run from 8:30-9:30.

Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015 Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.
Horseback Riding Lessons – Mrs. Foura will once again be offering horseback riding lessons. Cost is $30 for 1/2 hour, $40 for 1 hour. Contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org

EARN A CASUAL DAY FOR YOUR CHILD! How??? Buy $200 in SCRIP in one month. Its that easy! You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount. These are the designated casual days for this school year: September 19, October 17, November 14, December 12, January 16, February 20, March 20 (subject to change due to Living Stations of the Cross), April 17 and May 15. SCRIP UPDATES FOR 2014-2015: We will be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (located beside the Spirit store case, across from the gymnasium door). St. Mary of the Assumption Parish Picnic is Sunday, September 14 , following the 11:15 am Mass. There will be a blessing at 12:30 pm in the St. Mary Courtyard and Firehouse Park. There will be a hog roast, face painting, corn hole, sidewalk art, entertainment, crafts, and games rain or shine! St. Mary parishioners are asked to bring a dish corresponding with their last name: Last Name: A-C = Fruit, D-G = Salad (Pasta, Potato, Lettuce), H-L = Vegetables (Hot or Cold), M-R = Dessert, and S-Z = Hot Dish. All are Welcome!
Save the Date: Fisher Fall Festival is coming! Friday, September 19 6:00 – 10:00 and Saturday, September 20 6:00-11:00- – carnival games, inflatables, chicken noodle dinner, fish fry, music, bingo, adult gaming and much more! FREE admission. All are welcome.
