Irish Cafe News!! As the end of the school year approaches, ALL lunch accounts MUST be PAID IN FULL by tomorrow, Friday May 15th !! FINAL SANDWICH SATURDAY THIS YEAR!! Please join us on Saturday, May 16 at 8 a.m. in the Spirit Center. We would also gladly accept supplies: bread, bologna, individually wrapped cheese, baggies. This is the final Sandwich Saturday date, and we would like to thank all who participated in our service project this year, especially the St. Mary Houses. SCRIP CASUAL DAY, tomorrow, May 15! Want to get SCRIP over the Summer? No problem! Click here for the Summer pick up schedule. You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount. We will still be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (beside the Spirit store case, across from the gym) until the end of the year. Archery Club Now Forming ! Mr. Eyerman will be hosting an informal training and archery club meeting for all parents/volunteersinterested in helping out with the Archery club on Saturday, May 16th starting at 10 am in St. Mary Gym. Anyone who already has their BAI certification should attend and possibly help with the training. After this meeting we would like to be in full swing with Archery club. We intend be out before lunch and it shouldn’t interfere with 8th grade graduation. Archery club will be for 3rd – 8th grade students. Students will learn about equipment, how to shoot and prepare for competitions. We need interested parents to be trained and lead this club and work with Mr. Eyerman!
Attention Parents: Art work for sale! If you were unable to make it and purchase your child’s art work after May Crowning then have no worries because there is still a chance to buy the wonderful pieces by contacting the school office. We have had many inquiries from local businesses who would love to feature the children’s artwork. If you do not plan on buying the pieces and would not mind if they were sold to a local business, with all monies going to our Art Department, please make sure you let the office know as soon as possible. ST. MARY NEWS:
Spring cleaning is a great time to find those missing and overdue LIBRARY BOOKS! Please help your child to search for books that belong to our library and return them during the month of May. We really prefer to have the book returned than to mark it ‘LOST’ and charge a fine to replace the book. Encourage your child to search home bookshelves, in closets and under beds! Thank you for helping us with our inventory.
Lancaster Greenhouse Special Offer!! A Big THANK YOU to everyone who supported the St. Mary Education Association at the Flower Sale. All proceeds from this sale benefit the St. Mary Tuition Assistance Fund to keep tuition affordable. If you were not able to make a purchase, or find you need more plants – the St.Mary Education Association is partnering with Lancaster Greenhouse on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. Simply shop those days and present the flyer attached, at checkout. The tuition assistance fund receives 15% of each sale. Shop local and support tuition assistance. Download as many flyers as you want and pass them out to family and friends.

The St. Mary School Advisory Board is building a database of alumni to keep in touch with and keep posted on all of the great happenings at our school. FALL IRISH CLUB SOCCER: Attention all students who will be entering 6th, 7th and 8th grade next year- play club soccer with your St. Mary friends in the Fairfield County Junior High League! We play Thomas Ewing, Sherman, Amanda, Fairfield Union, and Logan. Games are played on Thursday evenings followed by an end of season tournament. This is a great opportunity to play at a competitive junior high level with local teams at a low cost ($65 per player includes uniform). Former St. Mary teacher Sheri Sheridan will be offering tutoring services this summer for all grades and subjects (excluding advanced high school math). She will also be offering summer sewing, traditional cooking lessons, and general home economics. On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Monday before pick up date each month. Helpers arrive at 8:00 a.m., pick up will run from 8:30-9:30.

2015 IRISH SUMMER BLACKTOP LEAGUE As a part of developing our future Irish basketball players we are running a Jr High School Blacktop League at William Fisher Catholic. The coaching staff is excited to announce the creation of the 1st annual Blacktop League starting this summer 2015.
