cute musical instruments clip artCongratulations go out to our St. Mary band students who recently participated in the Solo & Ensemble Competition on Saturday, April 11th. This event was held at Amanda Clearcreek High School.  Students prepared a musical selection to perform for this event.  The competition is an adjudicated event where students receive a rating based on how well they perform their musical selection, utilizing various skills necessary to execute that specific piece of music.  Students are rated on a scale from I – V, with I being the highest ranking.  All participating students from St. Mary received the highest ratings of I (Superior).  Mrs. Rehrer and the students spent four weeks preparing for this event. Band students participating, included: Caroline Messerly (8th grade) – flute solo, Clara Craaybeek (7th grade) – alto sax solo, Geneva Frank (7th grade) – trumpet solo,   Collin Rimkus (7th grade) – trumpet solo.  Many thanks for Mrs. Albert for accompanying the students.
