St. Mary Track & Field is currently underway and I wanted to personally invite your 7th or 8th grade student to join us! Our first “official” practice was Monday, March 9, but it’s not too late! Practices will be held after school at St. Mary until the weather clears up. Once the ground clears, practices will be held at the LHS track with a start time of 5:00. Lancaster practices before us and we share the track with Fisher & Fairfield Christian. Linked above are all of the forms that must be completed by the 1st day of practice for any student participating in track and field this spring. If your child played a fall and/or winter sport, all of these forms should already be submitted and the only form you will need to fill out and turn in is the concussion form (as this is a per-season required form) and the $75 fee to play. If you have any questions about paperwork you have already turned in, I do have a checklist of paperwork that is on file for your child. Thanks, Coach Christina Messerly

ST. MARY NEWS:
Fighting Irish Youth Football needs you! We know it’s early to begin thinking about football but much needs to happen to prepare for the upcoming 2015 Season. FIYF is part of the Mid State Youth Football League, and the League has informed us that we are required to field both Junior Varsity (3rd and 4th grades) and Varsity (5th and 6th grades) teams this year or we can no longer participate in the League!
We must let the League know by March 22, 2015 if we are going to have enough players for both teams. If your son is interested in playing, please complete this form and return to your son’s teacher. The League allows us to have players that attend Lancaster City Schools on our teams as long as they are registered parishioners of any of the parishes in Lancaster, so spread the word to your friends that do not attend one of our Catholic schools! As you can imagine, not having a youth program has a negative impact at the high school level. Please help us keep the Fighting Irish Football spirit alive at the youth level. If you have questions please feel free to contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks for your support!

Please visit our Advisory Board page to learn more about the roles and responsibilities of the board as well as our Election page to receive information about the election process and to download an application. We welcome your interest and encourage you to seriously consider this opportunity to help support and shape our wonderful school community.

Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015 Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.
