Mrs. Schornack is happy to announce that funding and equipment for our archery program has arrived from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources! As part of our ODNR grant, archery will be taught in our physical education program following the National Archery in Schools program guidelines. In addition to physical education instruction, we hope to send teams to local and state archery tournaments. Any adults who would like to volunteer with tournaments in the future are encouraged to attend a required instructor training course. More information to follow!

BOOK FAIR TIME! December 8-13 2014, Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday from 8:00-10:30 and 12:00-2:30, and Mondays 12:00-2:30. A family event will be held on Tuesday December 9th, following the Christmas Concert in the Spirit Center. Orders can also be placed on line by copying and pasting the following link into your browser http://bookfairs.scholastic.com/homepage/stmarysch19 The online book fair will run from December 2nd-December 13th. “Arts & Crafts Show”, Saturday, December 6th, 10am – 3pm , located in the Commons at Fisher Catholic High School. All are welcome!!!! Candles, scarves, Jams, Jellies, Salsa, handmade pocket rosaries and home décor, Scentsy products, homemade stockings and scarves, yard ornaments and crocheted necklaces, primitive signs, wine cork ornaments/ crystal ornaments, homemade Snowmen, Christmas Cards, And Catholic Youth Summer Camp fundraising.

Also check online at www.marketday.com to set up an account to order from home! On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Tuesday before pick up date each month. For Preschool and K-5 students, attire will be dress clothes, except for the few students who will be taking part in the manger scene. Please be sure to join us for a beautiful, musical night!
Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015 Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.
Want to get a casual pass for your child? Buy $200 in SCRIP in one month. You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount. Designated casual days for this school year: December 12, January 16, February 20, March 20 (subject to change due to Living Stations of the Cross), April 17 and May 15. We will be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (beside the Spirit store case, across from the gym). WRAP IT UP! Holiday gift wrapping by Fisher Catholic’s Sculpture class on Saturday, December 13 at Fisher Catholic’s Alumni commons. Only $10 and a roll of wrapping paper per patron. Please bring your gifts bagged together with your name, phone number, and gifts individually labeled with recipient’s names. They will do the rest. Gift drop off is from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m., and pick up is at 4:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Fisher Catholic’s Sculpture Class Project, Destination Downtown Lancaster Sculpture.
FAMILY ROSARY AND ADVENT FUN NIGHT: Bring the family to the Spirit Center on Friday, December 12th at 7:00 pm. We will pray the rosary followed by Advent crafts for the kids, a holiday movie, refreshments and fellowship. Our October rosary night was a great success and much fun for parents and kids (of all ages) alike. Come and join us!
Irish4Life club pancake breakfast on Sunday, December 14 from 9:30-1:30 in the FCHS cafeteria. We will have regular, blueberry, and chocolate chip pancakes for your dining pleasure. Oh…and sausage, OJ, and milk too! Please come and support our students as they seek to offset their cost to attend the March for Life in January. The cost is just your generous donation.
