THIS FRIDAY, 12/19 ~ CHRISTMAS CASUAL DAY!  Students should wear red & green & show their Christmas spirit!  Follow the casual day dress code.  DON’T FORGET, 1:00PM EARLY DISMISSAL ON FRIDAY!


The 2015 Central Ohio Regional Scholastic Art Awards are now completed. This year the Central Ohio region received over 1400 individual submissions and 72 portfolio submissions from students in grades 7 through 12. This year 5 pieces will be recommended for the American Visions award and regional acknowledgements will go to 37 pieces at the Gold Key level; while 62 pieces will receive Silver Key awards and 177 will receive Honorable Mention awards.  Congratulations to your students: Christopher Edwards, Honorable Mention-Photography—”Cork”;  David Lewis. Honorable Mention-Photography—”bug”; Caroline Menosky, Honorable Mention-Sculpture–“Tree of Knowledge”; Caroline Messerly, Silver Key-Sculpture—”Grass”.  Way to go St. Mary’s students!!
Important Kids CARE announcement: Due to the lack of participation in the MORNING Kids CARE program (6:30-7:30am), we will no longer be offering this morning service effective Jan. 5, 2015.  If this situation would change in the future, we will certainly bring it back.  Please email Angie Eisenacher with any questions or concerns, at


AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES!!  Come hang out and have fun with art! Monday: Drawing Session will be offered January 12th, 19th ,26th for $25.00. Students will work on pastel Drawings! All drawing materials are provided. Wednesday:Ceramic Session will be offered January 14th, 21st, and 28th for $30.00. Students will work with clay and different hand building techniques! Clay and glazes will be provided.

Kids C.A.R.E. Early Dismissal: Friday December 19th is an all-school early dismissal at 1:00. Kids CARE will be in session this day. However, all students must be picked up by 5:00 pm. Have a wonderful Christmas and Happy New Year!


IS YOUR TUITION BALANCE CURRENT?   A reminder that school policy states that all tuition accounts must be up to date before the start of the second half of the school year, which begins on January 5, 2015, in order for students to return to school after Christmas break.

Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015  Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.


MARKET DAY : Want to order for next month? Pick up a form outside the office and order by Tuesday, January 13, for delivery on January 17.  Also check online at to set up an account to order from home!  On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Tuesday before pick up date each month.  If you would like to volunteer to help with the next Market Day delivery, please contact Kendra Gundelfinger at 740-654-6625 or 740-974-7449. Helpers arrive at 8:00 a.m., pick up will run from 8:30-9:30.

Want to get a casual pass for your child?  Buy $200 in SCRIP in one month.  You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount.  Designated casual days for this school year: December 12, January 16, February 20, March 20 (subject to change due to Living Stations of the Cross), April 17 and May 15.  We will be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (beside the Spirit store case, across from the gym). Save Box Tops for Education and Campbell’s Soup labels!!  Send them in with your child in an envelope.  It is that easy!  Our school earns money and free items.


ST. MARY PARISH KEEPSAKE COOKBOOKS– Get your copy of this beautiful cookbook that has recently been published as part of our church’s 150th anniversary. Features a beautiful hardback cover with historical church photo, church history and 278 delicious recipes submitted by parishioner.  Every student and family who is a part of St. Mary School is also a special part of St. Mary Parish- get your copies today for the yummy recipes or as special keepsakes for your kids and family members!  Cookbooks are only $20 each and can be purchased at the parish office or by contacting Kellie Boyden at or 687-5177.  Delivery available.  These make great gifts!
