thankyou* The staff and students would like to express their deepest gratitude to all of the many volunteers who helped make our Catholic Schools Week events a huge success!  Thank you to all those who helped with COSI on Wheels, and to all the wonderful school moms who set up/served/cleaned up the luncheon with the Bishop.  Thank you, also, to Home and School for funding our COSI visit, the luncheon, and for providing popsicles for the students on Friday.



*TERRA NOVA TESTING WEEK IS COMING SOON!  All students in grades 2-8 will participate in the Terra Nova standardized test October 20-24.  We kindly ask that student absences be limited to illnesses only during the week of October 20 so that students will not miss daily testing.  Please be sure that your child has a complete and healthy breakfast each day and gets a full night’s sleep all week to prepare for testing.

MARKET DAY PICK UP DAY THIS SATURDAY!  Check out MARKET DAY!  Fast and ready, healthy quick meals and appetizers for your holiday parties. Want to order for next month? Pick up a form outside the office and order by Tuesday, November 4 , for delivery on November 8 .  Also check online at to set up an account to order from home!  On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Tuesday before pick up date each month.  If you would like to volunteer to help with the next Market Day delivery, please contact Kendra Gundelfinger at 740-654-6625 or 740-974-7449. Helpers arrive at 8:00 a.m., pick up will run from 8:30-9:30.

period. The following week (Oct. 20th-24th) there will be no band at all due to Terra Nova Testing.

RAFFLE INCENTIVES ANNOUNCED FOR FIRST TURN IN DAY ON OCTOBER 13!!  Holiday Happening is one of St. Mary’s two major fund-raisers for the year.  A large part of this fund-raiser is the Raffle Ticket Sale.  The Grand Prize is $1,000.00.  The drawing will take place at the live auction on November 9. PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES!  Auction donation forms will continue to be mailed out to community members this week.  Please click here to print and share this form with a family member, friend, or business who may wish to be a donor.


We ask each family donate the following products:

  • Last Names A – G, one dessert pie to be sliced for dessert for the Chicken & Noodles Dinner
  • Last Named H – M, one (Regular) 12 pack soda + one 2-liter of your choice
  • Last Names N – S, one (Diet) 12 pack soda + one 2-liter of your choice
  • Last Names T – Z, one 24 pack Water + one 2-liter of your choice
  • ALL FAMILIES – Silent or Live Auction item (optional, and kindly appreciated)
  • ALL FAMILIES – HOME MADE Baked Good for the Bake Sale (optional, and kindly appreciated)
  • ALL FAMILIES – Children’s Raffle item (optional, and kindly appreciated)  

The 12 packs and water will be sold at our Pop/Popcorn Table and the 2-liters will be used in our Ring Toss Game.

Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015 Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.

Horseback Riding Lessons – Mrs. Foura will once again be offering horseback riding lessons. Cost is $30 for 1/2 hour, $40 for 1 hour. Contact her at

Want to get a casual pass for your child?  Buy $200 in SCRIP in one month.  It’s that easy!  You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount.  These are the designated casual days for this school year: October 17, November 14, December 12, January 16, February 20, March 20 (subject to change due to Living Stations of the Cross), April 17 and May 15.  SCRIP UPDATES FOR 2014-2015: We will be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (located beside the Spirit store case, across from the gymnasium door).  Click here for an order form, and you can send your order in ahead of time with your child, or stop in Mondays 8-10 and Friday after school 2:15 to 3. 3rd Annual FCHS Alumni Cheerleading Night: Fisher Catholic Cheerleaders are inviting all alumna cheerleaders and coaches to come back and cheer the first half of the homecoming football game on Oct. 18th. It is a great opportunity to get together with classmates, share memories and have fun. Contact cheerleading coach Erin Hesterman for more information and to pre-register.
