TONIGHT!!!! Please come and join us for the St. Mary Home & School Association meeting Thursday October 2 at 7 pm in the Copy Room in the Main building. All parents, preschool through grade 8, are welcome!
FROM THE PRINCIPAL ~ Our Art program is growing! We are so happy to announce that St. Mary School will be hiring a part-time K-5 Art teacher to take on some of the primary/intermediate teaching duties, and allow Mrs. Appelfeller to continue to develop & expand our middle school Art program for grades 6-8!
Holiday Happening is one of St. Mary’s two major fund-raisers for the year. A large part of this fund-raiser is the Raffle Ticket Sale. The Grand Prize is $1,000.00. The drawing will take place at the live auction on November 9th. Our Raffle Ticket Sale begins Monday, October 6, 2014. REMINDER: On Oct. 6th each student will receive 4 raffle ticket books (6 raffle tickets each), (If students want additional books on the first day please return the form attached, asap).
Girl’s Volleyball tournament dates have been announced: Sat., Oct. 11- 8th Grade MSL Tournament @ Grove City Christian 9:00am, Tues., Oct. 14- 7th Grade MSL Championship @ Grove City Christian 5:00pm, 8th Grade MSL Championship @ Grove City Christian 6:00pm. To go with this – a slight change has been made in the dress-up dates allowed for volleyball and football. Monday, October 6 is now an approved dress-up day for both sports. Outfits must still meet dress codes guidelines spelled out in the handbook.
Practice and games started??? Check out MARKET DAY! Fast and ready, healthy quick meals and snacks for your family. Want to order for next month? Pick up a form outside the office and order by Tuesday, October 7, for delivery on October 11. Also check online at www.marketday.com to set up an account to order from home! On-line orders must be placed by 11:00 p.m. the Tuesday before pick up date each month. If you would like to volunteer to help with the next Market Day delivery, please contact Kendra Gundelfinger at 740-654-6625 or 740-974-7449. Helpers arrive at 8:00 a.m., pick up will run from 8:30-9:30.

Sacramental Preparation 2014-2015 Please be diligent in adding these events to your calendar so you may be faithful in attending these important sessions. If you’re unable to attend or miss a session, the responsibility is yours to contact me that following week so we can cover the material you missed. Also, deadlines for sacramental forms are very important, so please be sure to submit information on time or your son or daughter may not be able to receive the sacrament as scheduled. As a parent, you are the primary teacher of the faith to your child. Father Eilerman and I are happy to assist and support you in any way we can with this very essential charge in forming you child’s mind and heart with the teachings of our Lord and His Church. In your charity, please pray that the Holy Spirit may guide and bless our preparations this year.

Want to get a casual pass for your child? Buy $200 in SCRIP in one month. It’s that easy! You buy gift cards for items you are already going to purchase, and the school earns a portion of the card amount. These are the designated casual days for this school year: October 17, November 14, December 12, January 16, February 20, March 20 (subject to change due to Living Stations of the Cross), April 17 and May 15. SCRIP UPDATES FOR 2014-2015: We will be processing SCRIP on Monday mornings, in the Copy Room (located beside the Spirit store case, across from the gymnasium door). Check out the Fairfield County Fair. October 6-11, FREE preview day on Sunday, October 5. Say “hi” to the Fisher Catholic parents/friends working the gate, taking tickets. New this year, Bull riding on Monday, October 6. Tickets sold in advance at Fair office. Kid’s day is Thursday, October 9.
The Irish4Life club is having their annual t-shirt sale and the quote this year is particularly awesome! Please consider buying a shirt or sweatshirt to spread the pro-life message and to support the young people at FCHS as they seek to offset the cost of their annual trip to Washington, DC for the March for Life. Orders can be sent to the main office of FCHS (attention: Joe Holbrook) and they are due by October 6. Shirts will be delivered the following week. Thank you for your support!
3rd Annual FCHS Alumni Cheerleading Night: Fisher Catholic Cheerleaders are inviting all alumna cheerleaders and coaches to come back and cheer the first half of the homecoming football game on Oct. 18th.
