Summer in the St. Mary Science Lab

School may be out for summer, but there is still activity around the St. Mary middle school science lab.  Mrs. Yaple, 7th and 8th grade science teacher recently accepted a $650 donation from the 1965 graduating class of Bishop Fenwick High School.  Alumni (and former St. Mary teacher) Mrs. Vickie Elick Guay presented the check to Mrs. Yaple for supplies and improvements to the science lab.

In addition, Mrs. Yaple attended Operation Physics at Otterbein University where she brushed up on some new “hands-on” physics activities to include in the classroom for the coming year. St. Mary received nearly $1,000 worth of science lab supplies through participation and attendance in this graduate level course.
