Religion: Students will finish Chapter 1, on the birth narratives, on Monday. Chapter review will be a homework assignment if not finished in class. Tuesday, students will take Chapter 1 test. Students will have a Gospel Writer’s test on Wednesday. Students will have the pages and projects to help study.
Social Studies: Students will continue on with Economics in Chapter 2 in their text. Workbook page 2.2, will be assigned for Monday night. Students will work on the Guided Reading Notes in class. For the rest of the week, students will be discussing citizenship. Workbook page 2.3 will be assigned sometime this week depending on the progression of class discussions. The test is tentatively schedule for early next week.
Language Arts. Both 306 and 307 will begin Vocabulary Unit 2 this week. Exercises will be due the next Voc. class. The test will also be next week during the regularly scheduled class. Students are reviewing basic grammar as questions come up with Simple Solutions. This weeks schedule for SS is: Monday-pgs 9 +10 , Tues. pg 11, Wed. pg 12. The quiz will be on Friday for pages 9-12.
Students are currently working on a narrative in Writing class. Students have chosen their own topic, an historical event. They will be writing a non-fiction account in the form of a newspaper article. Then, they will take that information from the non-fiction account and weave it into a narrative. All writing activities are to be done at school, so that I may assess and help the students where necessary.
STUDENTS WILL GET DEMERITS FOR ALL BOOKS NOT COVERED STARTING TUES.
