7th Grade Math & 8th Grade Math/Religion 3-9-15

Religion:  We are finishing writing an examination of conscience for Reconciliation next week.  Students will receive a copy of this to help them with a nightly examination of conscience.

8th Grade Math: We are working on writing and understanding linear equations in slope-intercept form. There will be a quiz this Thursday over material we’ve covered thus far. Students need to be bringing their graphing calculators and rulers to class on a daily basis! Students should complete Simple Solutions Lesson 81 tonight, Lessons 82 and 83 Tuesday, and Lesson 84 Wednesday. The quiz over the lessons (81-84) is this Friday.   Please continue to check your child’s agenda nightly for homework assignments/quiz dates. These may vary upon material covered in-class.

7th Grade Math:  We have started Chapter 4 on Solving Algebraic Equations. Tonight students need to complete 4.2 practice for tomorrow. There will be a short quiz over this material this Thursday. Students should complete Simple Solutions Lesson 81 tonight, Lessons 82 and 83 Tuesday, and Lesson 84 Wednesday.   • Please consider donating gently used books for a book drive that runs through this Friday. The House of St. Therese will sponsor a House Competition food drive for St. Vincent dePaul.
  • The food drive will begin next week and end March 26.  There will be first, second, and third place certificates given to the houses that collect the most food items.  Thank you in advance for your generous spirits during this Lenten season.
