R.C.I.A. Process
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is not a program, but a process by which a person who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seeks the triune God with a sincere heart and enters the Catholic Church. The RCIA process finds its roots in the life of the early Church, where those seeking to enter the Church were slowly and systematically introduced into the rich sacramental, spiritual, and prayerful traditions of the Catholic Church, with the help and support of the local church community.
Who is RCIA For?
+ Unbaptized adults who wish to learn about the Catholic Church with an openness to becoming Catholic;
+ Baptized Christians from other faiths who wish to learn more about the Catholic Church with an openness becoming Catholic;
+ Baptized Catholics who have not received the sacraments of Confirmation and Holy Communion and who desire to enter into full communion with the Roman Catholic Church.
