Cpt. Bob Krooner visits St. Mary School
On Wednesday, April 24th, Captain Bob Krooner from the Security Forces squadron with the 121st Air Refuiling Wing, Rickenbacker Air National Guard base in Columbus came and spoke to some of the classes at St. Mary School. Cpt. Krooner was stationed at Bagram Airfield in Afganistan from Oct. 3 through April 10. Krooner’s children Mary, Nick, Jake and Abby attend St. Mary School.
The Krooner children’s classes sent care packages to Cpt. Krooner while he was deployed. Capt Krooner spoke about his experiences in Afghanistan, and answered their questions about the military and about the Afghan people.
Cpt. Krooner also presented Mr. Carlton Rider, Principal, with a special plaque and flag flown at the Bagram Airfield in appreciation for the support shown by the school for him and the military.
St. Mary School appreciates the service of Cpt. Krooner and the sacrifices he and his family made during his deployment.
